The difference between skateboarding today, and even 10 years ago, is that parts like this tell a story and give you a real feeling of what it is like to be that particular skateboarder. The tricks weren’t just skill based, they had personality within them. This is not to say that boring skating didn’t always exist, but when I watched these videos growing up these guys were my heroes, and I just don’t see how that could be possible with the new pros that exist today.
